A DeBary residence started with ceramic underfoot. That surface was prepped and patched level, then gray vinyl plank followed in the foyer, living room, a bathroom and several more areas. Low spots and ridges beneath a floating floor can turn into soft, hollow patches and gaps later, which is why flattening precedes the first plank; a wider uneven stretch may call for leveling compound, which cures for about a day.
The other DeBary project is a bright, open living room. Dark brown plank fills it and continues toward the hallway and entry doors, letting all three areas read as a unified surface.
DeBary marks our northern edge, in Volusia rather than Seminole. Sanford sits just over the St. Johns River, and we take projects on both banks.
Patching, leveling, plank and the final transition are all ours, and debris leaves with us.
