In a Casselberry home, a dark-stained plank floor in the living and dining rooms gave way to a light natural wood-look plank. The kitchen and entry kept their tile, and the new floor stops at clean transitions wherever those rooms begin.
A second home went lighter as well, with light gray plank through the living room, dining space and kitchen, ending at the entry tile in a straight line. The third project was smaller: old flooring in a bathroom and walk-in closet got stripped to the subfloor, and gray vinyl plank was fitted around the toilet and on through the closet.
At the meeting point of two floors, the transition piece is sized to the height difference: a flush strip if both sit level, a reducer if the new plank stands higher than the tile. Long runs and narrow doorways sometimes need a T-molding, letting a floating floor move. Doorways and openings get planned before the first cut. Casselberry is in Seminole County, north of Orlando, between Winter Park and Winter Springs.
We supply the flooring for your Casselberry home if you like, with delivery included when you buy it through KPC. Every project also covers tearing up the old floor, readying the subfloor and hauling the debris off. Quarter round, or slimmer shoe molding, covers the expansion gap at the walls without pulling the baseboards.

Yes, two of our Casselberry projects did exactly this. The new plank runs up to the tile, and a transition finishes the line. Grout color and tile pattern matter for the plank tone, so hold the samples right at the edge of the tile.
Yes. A Casselberry project covered only a bathroom and a walk-in closet: old floor stripped to the subfloor, gray vinyl plank fitted around the toilet and through the closet.
Usually, yes. Rigid-core planks, labeled SPC or WPC, click together and float, and many have a core that won't swell when wet; splashes wipe up. Water getting under the floor at a wall or seam can still sit on the slab, and a plumbing leak still needs fast attention.
We did exactly this in a Casselberry living and dining room, swapping dark-stained plank for light natural wood-look plank. Very dark planks show dust and pet hair, very light ones show footprints, and mid-tones forgive both. Compare the samples next to your walls and tile before choosing.
No. KPC supplies it, with delivery to your home included when you buy through us. Flooring you already bought elsewhere gets picked up and brought over for an extra charge.
